Compact HMS karabiner with the key-lock gate system to reduce snagging. The term HMS derives from the German word ‘Halbmastwurfsicherung’ which is the belaying technique we know as an Italian or Munter hitch. The pronounced ‘pear-shape’ of HMS karabiners allows for easy manipulation of the ropes in an Italian hitch or when using a belay device.
